Youth Music

Every Wednesday @ 5:00 p.m.  -  1.5 hours

Do you know a talented, musical teen? Encourage them to consider St. Paul’s Youth Music programme! It’s a fun way to meet other youth, to participate in the life of the Church, and to build confidence.

We meet every Wednesday at 5pm to learn and practice the musical skills essential to leading music in a church setting. Youth learn how to read, improvise, arrange, and perform music ranging from contemporary praise music to traditional hymns. Youth also learn essential band/ensemble skills and relevant music theory and music appreciation.

The group is led by Ian Koiter (BMus Honours). In addition to being St. Paul’s youth & young adult pastor, Ian also serves as musical director for Juno-award winning artist, Shad, as well as the popular Toronto-based collaborative musical event, Practice.

Youth are required to attend weekly rehearsals, help lead worship at youth gatherings. For new members, an audition is required. Please contact Ian for more information.

Marriage Preparation Course

The Marriage Course is very practical, giving married couples or those preparing for marriage the tools to build a strong and healthy marriage that lasts a lifetime. Over seven evenings, couples talk about important issues that can often be swept under the rug in the rush of daily life.

Babies and children are welcome in our services. Many parents prefer to keep their babies with them until they become mobile – just park your stroller away from the exits. Our Nursery is equipped for babies so you can drop in and feed or change your little one. Or come for a visit to the Nursery, meet our staff and volunteers and find out if your baby is ready to stay. Parents are welcome to accompany their child at any time. The Nursery Team will locate you in the service if they are unable to settle your child.

This relaxed service of worship is held in the Sanctuary and blends the best of modern and classical music and prayer. Teachings are biblical and relevant to your everyday life. The Bridge celebrates communion every week by sharing in the bread and wine. This community is made up of a diverse group of people who are learning how to follow Jesus in the city. We offer lively and growing children and youth ministries, as well as a chance to connect over coffee after the service.

This historic Anglican service of worship connects our present, living faith with those who have worshiped God faithfully for centuries. All are welcome to join us in the Main Sanctuary for this vibrant service with choral music, hymns, biblically relevant sermons and prayers. We alternate between services of Holy Communion and Morning Prayer. Young people are welcome to join our growing children and youth programs. The CAP Money Course is a great place to start. The course, which teaches budgeting skills and a simple, cash-based system, was devised by Christians Against Poverty.

If you are suffering from the pain of separation or divorce, this 13-week series is designed to support you through the trials and traumas in the aftermath. DivorceCare takes a biblical approach to divorce, separation and related issues such as anger, forgiveness, loneliness, financial survival, and consideration of children’s needs.

Do you know a talented, musical teen? Encourage them to consider St. Paul’s Youth Music programme! It’s a fun way to meet other youth, to participate in the life of the Church, and to build confidence.

We meet every Wednesday at 5pm to learn and practice the musical skills essential to leading music in a church setting. Youth learn how to read, improvise, arrange, and perform music ranging from contemporary praise music to traditional hymns. Youth also learn essential band/ensemble skills and relevant music theory and music appreciation.

The group is led by Ian Koiter (BMus Honours). In addition to being St. Paul’s youth & young adult pastor, Ian also serves as musical director for Juno-award winning artist, Shad, as well as the popular Toronto-based collaborative musical event, Practice.

Youth are required to attend weekly rehearsals, help lead worship at youth gatherings. For new members, an audition is required. Please contact Ian for more information.

Marriage Preparation Course

The Marriage Course is very practical, giving married couples or those preparing for marriage the tools to build a strong and healthy marriage that lasts a lifetime. Over seven evenings, couples talk about important issues that can often be swept under the rug in the rush of daily life.
