We meet every Wednesday at 5pm to learn and practice the musical skills essential to leading music in a church setting. Youth learn how to read, improvise, arrange, and perform music ranging from contemporary praise music to traditional hymns. Youth also learn essential band/ensemble skills and relevant music theory and music appreciation.

The group is led by Ian Koiter (BMus Honours). In addition to being St. Paul’s youth & young adult pastor, Ian also serves as musical director for Juno-award winning artist, Shad, as well as the popular Toronto-based collaborative musical event, Practice.

Youth are required to attend weekly rehearsals, help lead worship at youth gatherings. For new members, an audition is required. Please contact Ian for more information.
