Operation Christmas Child

It's that time of year again!

Posted on October 15, 2015

Our shipment of Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes has arrived! Pick up your box (or boxes) in the Atrium this Sunday.

Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan's Purse, brings hope and joy to children around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes and the message of God's unconditional love.

This year, we are challenging everyone to take part in one of three ways.

1) Pack a shoebox and return it no later than Sunday, November 22.

2) Donate toys, school supplies and hygiene items we can use to fill shoeboxes at our packing party.

3) Come to our packing party on Saturday, November 21.

Ready to Pack a Shoebox?

1) Pick up your empty shoebox.

2) Choose to pack your shoebox for a boy or girl, ages two to four, five to nine or 10 to 14.

3) Fill your shoebox with a well balanced variety of school supplies, toys and hygiene products. Include a personal note and a photo if you wish. Do not include items that could break, leak, melt, scare or harm a child.

4) Donate $7 for every shoebox you pack to help cover the cost of shipping. Donations can be made online by credit card, or you can enclose cash or a cheque.

5) Return your shoebox to St. Paul's by Sunday, November 22.

What to Donate

We are collecting donations of gifts we can use to pack shoeboxes at our packing party. Place your donations in the box in the Atrium.

Toys and other gifts: dolls, soccer balls (deflated with pump), stuffed animals, socks, hair clips, toy cars, musical instruments, puzzles, jump ropes, etc.

School supplies: pencils, pens, crayons, notebooks, colouring books, etc.

Non-liquid hygiene items: toothbrushes, bar soap, washcloths, combs, etc.
