This fall, we have begun a new discipleship series called Pilgrim. This is a guided program that helps us to go deeper in Christian faith through practices of prayer, Bible study and conversation that is shaped by the Anglican tradition in all its various streams.
The series is made up of eight short courses, each one focusing on a particular topic. The first course explored how we turn to Christ in faith. About twenty people have attended the sessions. The content has been very helpful for people at various places in their discipleship journey, and the discussion has helped the participants bond on a more personal level, developing our community further.
Jillian Warner, one of the participants, offered this: “The Pilgrim course is proving to be foundation building. It is a perfect blend of Bible teaching and shared life experience to encourage learning - theory and practical. We have a safe space to ask those ‘Ya, but...’ questions and are rewarded with a deeper sense of community and the knowledge of why, how and what we believe, making us stronger and better equipped Christians. Awesome!”
The next six-week course in the series, “The Lord’s Prayer”, begins on Sunday, November 6, and is offered at two separate times during the morning: 10:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. If you would like to join in but have yet to register, you can do that here.
If you would like to join in last minute, that’s no problem. Come on over to Room 106 on the west side of Cody Hall. The coffee will be on.
