Time, treasure and talent. The managing and sharing of these assets, for the glory of God, is stewardship in a nutshell.

This Sunday September 27, at our annual Ministry Fair, we will be showcasing all the different ministries we have here at St. Paul’s. We hope those ministries will meet your needs and feed your soul, be it your need to serve, or your need to be served.

The Ministry Fair is primarily about time and talent. Though money/treasure can be a sensitive subject, in our very busy lives, it is the sharing of our talents and time that can be more difficult to give. Yet with Jesus as our example, this is what we’re asking.

“Even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:28

Here’s what two of our volunteers have said about their service to the church:

“Welcoming people/ushering is the best thing I’ve done at St. Paul’s. It has helped me to get to know people”. – Kathleen, Greeter

“One of the three things in my life where I feel I’m being who I am meant to be”. – Joy, Communion Administrant

So, this Sunday, after each of our three services there will be ministry staff and volunteers at tables in the Atrium, hoping to share opportunities for you to better get involved in our community. Look for the people in the silly hats! Whether your interest is in Community and Discipleship, Worship, Hope and Support, Helps, Hospitality, Teaching and Nurturing, Outreach or Leadership we will have a place for you.

Here at St. Paul’s our Discipleship Covenant, among other things, commits us to:

• Active involvement…. Supporting St. Paul’s Vision and Mission through my active involvement in the life of its ministries.

We hope you will prayerfully consider how as a disciple of Christ, you might engage with our Ministries this season. We look forward to seeing you there!
