What's Next...?

Christmas is a magical season. For some, it is the happy images, smells, memories and feelings this wonderful time of year brings to the fore. For others, it is a time to share with family and friends – travel, good food and gifts. Others yet, dread this time of year for with Santa comes family disputes, haunting memories and intense loneliness. Regardless, there is always a lingering question at Christmastide – “What’s next?”

“What is coming next?” More terrorism? More Ebola? Troubling economic news? How much more of “What’s next…?” can we stand?

Wouldn’t it be great to be in a place where “what’s next?” is not a question to be feared but is actually good news that trumps everything we are used to? Welcome to the place where any question will be honestly wrestled with, worked through and engaged. That is “what’s next?” at St. Paul’s.

You can rightly ask, how can one day, one singular day out of 365 bring such a range of experiences, feelings and expectations? It makes you wonder, what is the point of Christmas? What is at the heart of Christmas? Not only “what’s next?” but really, “what’s Christmas?”

We can help. Together, we will earnestly seek the answer to “what’s next?” and the answer might surprise you. It won’t be a simplistic formula or the religious status quo. We believe Christmas is a time to recall in word and deed the central event in the history of humanity. Christmas launches the greatest story ever told!

We are looking forward to having you join us this Christmas season. May you and yours have a very Merry Christmas and the most blessed of New Years.
